Modernization
The Venetic radar modernization program began with the reengineering of small components for military radar systems and has expanded to major modernizations to processor, transmitter and antenna subsystems for both military and civil aviation radars.
The modernization begins with an assessment of the original radar system followed by an engineering design that is developed to ensure compatibility between modernized and legacy equipment.
Key modernization capabilities
- Survey and analysis of legacy military and civilian radar systems to determine the viability for modernization.
- Design, installation and integration of modernized state of the art radar transmitter and processors.
- Design of modernized IFF/Secondary subsystems including antennas, interrogators and associated RF cabling.
- Design and modernization solutions for the primary radar antenna subsystem including amplifiers, rotary joints and motor drives.
